Ms. Khatiwada is a doctoral student at the University of Texas at El Paso (USA).

She is a photographer and documentary maker. Her photographs are exhibited in Nepal and abroad. She works with Prof. Arun Gupto as a Director of Photography and researcher on visual cultural studies projects. She collaborated as a photographer in the book Seasons of the Divine (2024 Rupa, India). Her recent venture is a forthcoming book Diary of a Teenage Wife.
